Soft sealing gate valve operation method and fault elimination method

Many people want to know the operation method of soft-sealed gate valve in order to make better use of this valve. The following is the operation method and fault elimination method of soft-sealed gate valve:

 

First, the opening and closing direction of the valve, many operators often make mistakes here, just need to remember that the valve closing direction is clockwise.

Second, if the soft sealing gate valve is used in the pipeline system, the pneumatic device inside the valve needs manual operation, and people need to use manual methods to open and close it. If it is a large-diameter valve, the number of times of opening and closing needs to be kept between 200 and 600 times.

Third, the opening and closing force distance of the soft-sealed gate valve needs to be maintained within a certain range, mainly to save manpower and facilitate one person to operate. If the force distance exceeds this range, at least two to three people are needed to successfully start the valve. .

Fourth, the size of the valve must be standardized. When placing the valve, you must pay attention to the valve of the gate valve facing down.

Soft sealing gate valve fault elimination method:

1. Leakage at the packing of the soft-sealed gate valve

(1) The packing gland is too loose, and the nut for pressing the packing gland can be tightened evenly.

(2) The number of packing circles is not enough, and the packing should be increased.

(3) The packing fails due to long-term use or improper storage. It should be replaced with new packing. When replacing, it should be noted that the joints between each ring should be crossed and staggered.

2. There is a gap between the gate plate of the soft-sealed gate valve and the sealing surface of the valve seat

(1) There is dirt between the sealing surfaces, which can be eliminated by washing.

(2) If the sealing surface is damaged, it should be re-ground, and if necessary, it can be re-surfacing and processing. The ground sealing surface must be flat, and its roughness should not be lower than 0.4.

3. The leakage nut at the connection between the valve body and the bonnet of the soft-sealing gate valve is not tightened tightly or is unevenly tightened, and can be readjusted.

(1) Damage (straight grooves or groove marks, etc.) on the flange sealing surface should be corrected.

(2) The gasket is damaged and should be replaced with a new gasket.

4. Soft sealing gate valve stem transmission is not flexible

(1) If the packing is too tight, loosen the nut on the packing gland properly.

(2) The position of the packing gland is not correct, so that the valve stem is stuck, and the nut on the packing gland should be evenly screwed to restore the gland to its normal position.

(3) The threads on the stem and stem nut are damaged and should be removed after disassembly.

Soft sealing gate valves are widely used. Soft sealing gate valve, industrial valve, the opening and closing part of soft sealing gate valve is the gate, the movement direction of the gate is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid, the gate valve can only be fully opened and fully closed, and cannot be adjusted or throttled. The gate plate has two sealing surfaces. The two sealing surfaces of the most commonly used wedge gate valve form a wedge shape. The wedge shape angle varies with the valve parameters, usually 50, and 2°52 when the medium temperature is not high.
