Valve material: what is the difference between 304, 316, 316L?
"Stainless steel" "steel" and "iron", what`s characteristics and the relationships are they? How is 304, 316, 316L come, and what is the difference between each other?
Steel: Material with iron as the principal element, usually less than 2% carbon, and containing other elements.-- GB/T 13304-91 "Classification of Steel"
Iron: A metallic element, atomic number 26.Iron material has strong ferromagnetism, and has good plasticity and thermal conductivity.
Stainless steel: resistant to air, steam, water and other weak corrosion medium or stainless steel. Usually used for 304, 316, 316L steel, austenitic stainless steel is 300 series of steel.

Performance:
304 stainless steel is the most common kind of steel, as a widely used steel, it has good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature strength and mechanical properties; Stamping, bending and other thermal processability is good, no heat treatment hardening phenomenon (no magnetic, then use the temperature -196℃ ~ 800℃).
